Are Methyltetrahydrofolate And Magnesium Oxide In Supplements Safe While Taken During Pregnancy?

Question: This question is hopefully for an OB/GYN. I just found out I am pregnant, about five weeks. I have been taking a special kind of vitamins that contain methyltetrahydrofolic acid. I started taking of these years ago they are by Thorne research. I stopped taking them when I found out I was pregnant (wasnt sure they were safe to take but im pretty sure they are). In abundance of caution, I went back to the traditional vitamins but these vitamins are not agreeing with me at all. I feel awful now. I felt so much better on the thorne b complex vitamins. . I dont see my ob until the middle of next month. Can you advise if it is safe to take the special formula by Thorne research? Also? I take magnesium oxide and ginger for my stomach issues and I really hope to continue these. Are these OK?

Thank you. Also, I had a UTI the first week I was pregnant so I was on Cipro for one week. I see it is a category C. Should I be concerned?
Brief Answer:
Don't worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Taking cipro for a short duration is unlikely to harm the baby.
Don't worry.
