1. Numbness is not a feature of ALS.
2. Arm pain is not a feature of ALS.
3. Swallowing difficulty can occur in ALS, when there is bulbar involvement. It is accompanied by slurred speech. Once the swallowing difficulty starts, it persists. It does not come and go.
