Are Rashes On The Lower Lips While On Carbamazepine Normal?

default
Posted on Thu, 3 Nov 2016
Question: I've been on carbamazepine for 2 months for Trigeminal Neuragia, and recently noticed a little rashing and my lower lip looks grey in the corner. Can this be from the Med? Would I have not seen something earlier

Brief Answer:
Get examined by a dermatologist too

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Carbamazepine can cause skin rashes but facial rashes needs to be evaluated first by a dermatologist for any alternative diagnosis.
You can also stop drug for few days and observe for skin lesion.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
