Suggest Treatment For Seizures

I am 45 female and starting having seizures about two years ago. I have taken several seizure meds and none have worked. I am now taking tegretol with the dose being up when I complain of still having seizures. With this latest dose I am so tired feel depressed and Im still having seizures! Can Low blood pressure have some bearing? I am just having such a hard time making it thru the day due to exhaustion and feeling like Im in a fog.

Hello,

There are new medications with fewer adverse effects and good control on seizures such as levetiracetam for example. If the drugs fail to control the seizures and the adverse effects are significant, epilepsy surgery may be considered. Discuss with a neurosurgeon these issues.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
