Brief Answer:
no effect on baby

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic .

The hyperthyroid state of your brother doesn't have any effect on the health of the baby.

The hyperthyroid state may effect the sperm quality and motility which will affect fertility. If thyroid levels are controlled then this problem won't happen. If you brother thyroid level is in normal range then he won't have any effect on sperm quality and child to be born.

The precaution is to maintain thyroid levels within normal range with drugs.

Hope I have answered your query . If any further queries are there I would love to help.

Brief Answer:
postponing not needed

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry for late reply.

If his thyroid levels are normal with tablets then also no problem. They may plan child. No need to postpone pregnancy.

I suggest him to get semen analysis done once. If it is normal then no problem. If any minor problems are there then it may be treated. For normal thyroid status even with tablets no problem with pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.
