Does Secnidazole Reduces Sperm Count?

does secnidazole reduces sperm count ? Dear doctor, i am having red spots on the tip of penis i am on cefopodoxime+ clavulanic acid once a day for 7 days. i had a symptomatic relief now i am still having few spots on the penis. now i am thinking to having secnidazole as per the earlier treatment given by doctor for the same problem. i just need to know as we r planning to have kids does secnidazole have any impact on sperm count

Hi,

Secnidazole at high doses can cause decrease in sperm count but this effect is temporary and the count will restore after discontinuing the medication. Yet, you should visit a dermatologist for the spots diagnosis and proper treatment.
