I take Protonix for acid reflux, azilect, sentiment and mirapax for Parkinson's and Metformin for diabetic condition. I notice there is an interaction with Azilect and Parkinson's drugs. Brief Answer:
serious interaction between pamelor and azilect

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

There is a risk of a serious interaction between the pamelor (nortriptyline) and azilect ( rasagiline).

Both of these medications increase the levels of a chemical called serotonin which can increase the risk of serotonin syndrome. This is condition associated with high blood pressure, increased pulse rate, increase body temp, tremors, nausea, vomiting, seizures , agitation, confusion.
This combination of medication should definitely be avoided.

Azilect and levodopa (part of the sinemet), can act together to cause an increase in blood pressure.

Mirapex and levodopa, in some persons, not all, may cause increase in blood pressure, heart rate, nausea.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
