Are There Any Dosage Issues Relating To Dangers Of Serotonin Syndrome?

I ve been reading about serotonin syndrome. Today i took 900mg st johns wort, (a normal daily dose, although, I just took a week off from the sjw.) I also took 100 mg of 5htp, and some Dextromothorphan gel tabs (2). I know I m being a bit paranoid, but I cannot find any dosage issues relating to dangers of serotonin syndrome. I feel I am well within safe bounds, but thought I d double check to be sure. It has been 4 hrs since the 5htp, 3 hrs since the sjw, and 45 min since the geltabs,

Hi,

Well, I'm not sure certainly St. John's wort is associated with Serotonin syndrome if mixed with other drugs that cause it and Dextromethorphan increases levels of many drugs and 5HTP is a Serotonin precursor but there isn't any specific data on this, although it is plausible. Note that, Serotonin syndrome goes away when its cause is stopped.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
