Are Tics In Right Eye And Right Side Of Mouth Signs Of Stroke?
Question: I am an 82 year old female with high cholesterol. My blood pressure has always been normal. Lately I have been having tics in my right eye followed by a tic in my right side of my mouth. Is this a precursor to a stroke?
Brief Answer:
Not a precursor
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am Dr Mittal. I have read your message. I think I can help you. The symptoms of the query are not quite suggestive of a possible stroke.
Tics are movement disorders that can be controlled voluntarily.
They are not s precursor symptom of stroke.
However, I would suggest that you test with a MRI BRAIN and CV DOPPLER when you can.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal
