Began Physical Therapy After An Accident, Picked Up Testicular Pain. Emergency Room? Meaning Of Decompresive Hemi Laminotomies?
Question: Had a left L4-S1 and L4-5 decompresive hemi laminotomies, medical facetecomy and foraminotomy as well as an L5-S1 diskectomy 4 months ago. Was in an accident 8 weeks ago. Began physical therapy 3 weeks ago. Since beginning pt, have been having sever testicular pain, primarily in left testicle but does go to the right after activity. Should I go to the emergency room?

From what I understand, you have been operated on the spine 4 months ago and currently on physiotherapy since the last 3 weeks. You developed left side testicular pain that goes to right after activity since last 3 weeks after starting physiotherapy.
It would have been better if you could have mentioned if you had any swelling or redness associated with it or if you had any problems passing urine.
Sudden onset severe testicular pain which is not responding to simple analgesic can be due to testicular torsion. This is a real emergency requiring urgent consultation. Visit the emergency room at the earliest.
