Blood In The Stool. Is It Colon Cancer?

Question: I see a bright red blood in my stool..

It started around 6 months back. When I go to home and have bowel in non-western toilet, the blood came. After that when I used western toilet it went off. It happened twice when for a period of 5-6 days when i went home and used non western toilet.

Now it is coming again with western toilet as well. I am scared... Please help me with it. Is it a colon cancer. I remember my dad also had same problem some 8 years back.

Thanks for your query.

You most likely have Hemorrhoids. In common language its called Piles.
Here, there are blood vessels which get enlarged in the anal canal which start bleeding on and off due to increased pressure or trauma.

At your age, its highly unlikely to be due to any cancer. So be reassured.

You must consult a general surgeon and get your self evaluated.

It can be cured with simple procedure.

If it is Hemorrhoids, then I guess it should be continuous... It happens continuously for 2-3 days and for months I am normal.. Does this still fit the hemorrhoids?

Yes,It does.

Hemorrhoidal bleed can spontaneously stop and start.
So its likely that you have one.

A simple examination will help ascertain.
