Brief Answer:
You have to be cautious.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.

Amphetamine group of drugs have to be used cautiously and strictly under doctor's supervision. The US-FDA has issued a black-box warning with these drugs stating that these can cause sudden cardiac arrest.

The risk of cardiac arrest usually increases with dose. So if the child develops symptoms like dizziness, drowsiness, increased heart rate, increased rate and difficulty in breathing while taking amphetamine, you must consult your treating doctor.

Hope this helps you.
Any further queries are welcome.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
No probably it does not.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for a follw up query.

The effects of amphetamines have not been studied in children below 6years of age. There are no medical reports regarding mortality caused by amphetamines in infants.

Therefore, its difficult to comment on effects/mortality rates of amphetamines on infants.

Hope this answers your query.
Thanks.
