What exactly is Amox - Clav? The bottle says it is generic for Augmentin. Are they antibiotics? It was prescribed to me last year by my family physician of 20 years. I believe it was for an upper respiratory infection then. I now have a bad chest cold with some nasal discharge and dripping and am out of town so thought it might help nip things in the bud. Do you agree?
Brief Answer:
yes, it does.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back.
Yes, its an antibiotic and it does help to stop infection from getting progressed.
But I would recommend you take it under supervision of your treating doctor to observe any undue effects.
