Azithral (Azithromycin ) is a powerful antibiotic. Its use should be restricted to susceptible conditions. As its side effect are more and vague.

Usually bacterial infections causing sore throat respond well to Azithromycin.

Severe cough if not associated with sputum can be treated with Azithromycin. If there is sputum then best choice would be Fluoroquinolone like Levofloxacin 500mg.

Please do not self medicate. Consult your doctor for more suitable antibiotics. This can be decided only after detailed clinical examination.

You can take Syp BENADRYL BR if dry cough or BENADRYL CR if cough has sputum. Either, 10 ml thrice daily for three days will bring down the cough considerably.
