
Can Cefchamp And Ascoril Syrup Be Taken For Fever And Cold?

Question: Dear Doctor,
I was out in snow and have a struggle with Fever, Sore throat, cold with running nose and flu past 2 days.
My Family doctor suggested me P500 +Cefchamp325 +Allercet DC and Ascoril Syrup a year back for the same situation.
May i proceed with same medication?
Please advice.

Yes you can take the same medicine. However ascoril is for cough and it should be taken only if it is present.
You can take the rest medications.
I would also suggest that you gargle with chlorhexidine gargles thrice a day and take steam inhalation thrice a day

Thank you for your kind feedback doctor. What would be an alternative for steam inhalation if we don't have the machine? Kindly advise.

Although steam would be the best but if you cannot get it then saline nasal drops will do!!
saline nasal drops can be put every 4 hours and will help clear up your nose!!
