Can Cifran And Tiniba Be Taken Together?
Question: When is Tiniba 300 mg prescribed? Can it be given with Cifran 500 mg ? Are they both the same ?

Tiniba (Tinidazole) is a anti-amoebic drug and is prescribed in acute intestinal amebiasis.Adult dose 2G/day for 2-3 days.
It is often combined with ciprofloxacin in case of mixed infection causing diarrhoea.
A common combination is ciprofloxacin 250-500 mg and Tinidazole 300-600 mg taken twice a day for 5 days as antidiarrheal.
Ciprofloxacin(Cifran) is an antibiotic (quinolone group) .
