The person is 25 years old and is recovering from a bad ear infection. Can I assume a perforated ear drum most likely will not cause any loss of hearing or problems He also has a blister on his eardrum. Thank you
Brief Answer:
Perforated ear drum would causes conductive hearing loss
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Perforated ear drum would causes conductive hearing loss until it heals. If the patient has hearing difficulty, it is important to rule out the hearing loss and type of hearing loss through pure tone audiometry.
Blister on his ear drum may be due to the viral infection also. Has a doctor diagnosed ear perforation?
