Will The Gasoline In My Ear Cause Permanent Hearing Loss?
I have lost some of my hearing due to a gasoline chemical burn to the eardrum. Day prior to burn I went and had my ears cleaned out by an ENT due to compaction. Next day I got gas in my ear while working on truck. Now I am suffering from hearingloss. Went back to ENT and he prescribed some steroid ear drops. He was unable to tell me if the hearing loss would be permanent. Have you had any cases the resulted in hearing loss?
It might be due to damage to ear drum(tympanic membrane) or fine bones in the middle ear. Consult an ENT specialist and plan for surgical reconstruction to correct the hearing.
