Question: I was given amox-clav 875 tablet for a bad sinus infection'
It gives me diarrhea and a headache.
Can I take ciprofloxacin hcl 500 mg

Hello,

Thanks for posting a query to HCM.

Yes ciprofloxacin can be taken. But Amoxclav is the first line treatment after which Clarithromycin and azithromycin takes the second line. Ciprofloxacin is the third line drug in the case of sinusitis.


Diarrhea can be over come by having any probiotic along with the medicine.
