Can Cipzen D Cause Urinary Infection?

Question: My aunt diagnosed with T2N0M0 completed her chemo(4 cycle TC) and radiation a week back. She started taking Femara from past one week.
She complained about burning sensation couple of days back around the area radiated and there was a wound also for which the radiation oncologist suggested
1. CIPZEN D for 5 days
2. Silverex cream twice daily
It is been 2 days since she stared taking tablet and applying the cream.
As there was some family function, we are travelling along with her in car. Problem is from today she strated complaining the burning pain while passing the urine. She had similar pain when she had urine infection few months back before diagnosed with breast carcinoma.
My question:
1. Can Cipzen D cause urine infection?
2. If yes, shoukd she stop taking it
3. Can her symtoms related to urine infection?
4. Cwn we start her with antibiotics and which one?
5. Any other suggestions please.

Brief Answer:
May be urinary tract infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
The symptoms mentioned can well be due to urinary tract infection or UTI. I don't think cipzen d will cause UTI. It doesn't have any ingredient to cause such reaction.
I would suggest testing urine routine and culture and then start antibiotics. We commonly use levofloxacin or nitrofurantoin. You will need to talk to her doctor regarding exact preparation and dosage. Also she needs to take lot of water. Sometimes we use urine alkalisers like alkasol to help with the symptoms.
Hope this helps.
