Brief Answer:
Clonazepam is better drug
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Welcome to Health Care Magic
I can understand your concern. Both Alprazolam and Clonazepam are benzodiazepines and have almost same efficacy and side effects. But these drugs differ in onset and duration of actions. Alprazolam is rapid acting, more dependence producing and is less safer if we compare to Clonazepam. You are 84 years old and in my opinion Clonazepam is better drug for you than Alprazolam. Risk of accidental falls with Clonazepam are lesser than Alprazolam. So please don't remain anxious, the drug is a better choice for you.
Thanks, Hope this helps you, if you have more doubts you can ask again
