Bilateral
maxillary sinusitis with asthmatic symptoms usually are due to
allergy hence the suggested treatment an be as follows, strictly to be continued under medical supervision, proper investigations and regular follow up.
* Get the blood tests done for CBC IgE for allergy, blood sugar and HbA1c to rule out diabetes
* Get the CT scan of
sinuses and X-ray or CT scan of chest also as you have asthma like symptoms to rule out any other problems with lungs
* Pulmonary function tests
The mainstay of the treatment is as per the cause found are:
* Oral
steroids gives the best results
* Topical steroids in the form of nasal spray
* Antihistamine like
Montelukast till required and then as and when required
Good long courses and regular follow up, CT scan review is required. If medical management fails then surgery may be required after fitness.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
