Can Coenzyme Q10 Be Taken For Arthritis?

Question: I take pravastatin 80 mg each day, am 71 years old, weigh about 155 pounds, am beginning to experience mild symptoms of arthritis. Would a coenzyme Q10 food supplement be helpful to me? I see lots of advertising, have no idea if it's accurate.

Brief Answer:
No!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
coenzyme Q10 food supplement will not be helpful for arthritis. This supplement is used to boost energy levels especially in persons with unexplained fatigue. For arthritis, I will rather recommend exercise and stretching. At your age, mild arthritis is not uncommon from the normal wear and tear that our joints experience over our lifetime. For now, no specific medication for this is recommended unless something else is the matter.
I hope this helps and guides. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
