Can Cyclobenzaprine Cause Vertigo?

Question: i was prescribed cyclobenzaprine hcl and diclfenac potassium 2 days ago for back pain and am experiencing positional vertigo( i have had this before) this morning. Could it be the medication or just a coincidence? I am in Florida and preparing for a hurricane so am a little stressed.
Brief Answer:
Does not cause positionalvertigo but may cause dizziness.
Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
Cyclobenzaprine can cause some amount of dizziness but not necessarily postural. Maybe you are feeling like this since with cyclobenzaprine the muscle are relaxes and after prolonged rest there is muscle laxity.
But it will go over time .
All the best for your speedy recovery and preparation for hurricane.
