Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Since April, I have noticed a soft, moveable lump on the medial aspect of my lower left leg, just above the ankle region. One week ago, I started experiening pain in this same leg, from my buttocks down to my foot. The pain is far worse when I am laying down than when I am standing or sitting. I also am a longtime sufferer of low back pain and have also been diagnosed with sacroiliitis. I also have a past history of a single lipoma that was removed from my upper back. Do you think the lump and pain in my left leg are connected, or is the pain likely due to my sacroilitis. I would have seen a doctor months ago regarding the lump, but I currently have no health insurance. Thank you.
Back pain, sacroiliitis pain will radiate to the affected side from back to toe. If possible, do USG scanning old lipoma. Do MRI ĹS spine. Avoid forward bending. Do back strengthening exercises. Take B12 injection.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Prasad, Orthopedic Surgeon
