Can Cyclopam Be Taken For Abdominal Muscle Strain?

Question: My wife has started suffering with spams of stomach pain in the morning. She does not have any loose motions. Now, in the evening her stomach pains comes and go but she is feeling chilly. She also has body ache. So far, she has taken two capsules of Pudina XXXXXXX and one tablet of Pan-40. Request for your suggestions/recommendations for any medication that I can give her? Would cylcopam help?

I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
She is having spasmodic pain abdomen since morning. In such pain, dicyclomine or drotaverine(drotin) are quite useful. So yes, you can give her cyclopam which contains dicyclomine. Alongwith, pantoprazole-domperidone or pantoprazole-levosulpiride can be taken. Paracetamol might be taken for bodyache.
Modify diet- avoid spicy or fatty food, take lots of oral fluid and dietary fibers.
But do keep an eye on her symptoms. If the pain persists even after following the above advice, a visit to a doctor should be considered.

Thanks Dr. She also now has 103 degree fever. She also has nausea. Would this be some infection requiring antibiotics?

Yes a stomach infection is not unlikely.
You should continue the above treatment, alongwith you can start antibiotics like ofloxacin-ornidazole from tomorrow if the fever and pain continues and nausea, vomiting or loose motion sets in.
It would be also wise to get clinically checked if symptoms persist.
Also kindly tell me the side or position of abdomen she is having pain in. Any radiation of pain should be also mentioned. Also tell me if there is any history of irregular meals or spicy, outside food intake recently.

Thanks once again Dr.

She tells me her stomach pain has significantly reduced and she's not able to tell whether she had any specific side of pain. But her fever and chill feeling continues.

Regarding history, we did eat out on Sunday for lunch. However, on Monday and Tuesday she's eaten home cooked food and consumption of water has been from aquaguard filtered water.

Three questions:
1. Can you please tell me the generic/brand name for the antibiotic you have prescribed so that I can buy the same from the pharmacy i.e. Oflaxcin-ornidazole.
2. Can you please also tell me the generic/brand name for pantoprazole-domperidone so that i can buy from the pharmacist.
3. Request you to provide the dosage information for Cyclopam, pantoprozole-domperidone and the antibiotic tablets. i.e. how many times a day of each and for how long.

Let me answer your questions serially.

1. Oflomac-OZ or O2 or Brakke (ofloxacin-ornidazole).
2. Pan-D or Panido-DSR or PNZ-D (pantoprazole-domperidone).
3. Cyclopam- one tablet twice/thrice daily for 3 days as per severity of pain.
Pantoprazole-domperidone once daily in empty stomach for 15-20 days.
Ofloxacin-ornidazole one tablet twice daily for 5 days.
