Can D Rise 60000 And Neurobion Forte Cause Numbness And Jaw Stiffness?
Question: Hello Dr. Suma,
I had consulted you regarding my recent annual health checkup test results.

TOTAL THYROXINE (T4) C.L.I.A 9.7 μg/dl 4.5-12

FREE THYROXINE (FT4) C.L.I.A 1.23 ng/dl 0.7-1.8
For Vitamin D, You had advised calciferol 60k IU. I am taking D Rise 60000 IU one per week with milk.
For Vitamin B, a doctor whom i consulted advised Neurobion Forte which i am taking one every day.
I am experiencing numbness/stiffness in my jaw since i am taking the above medication.
Could it be because of the medication i am taking or should i consult a doctor personally for this jaw stiffness/numbness separately and continue my vitamin supplements?
Please advise.

Brief Answer:
Not because of supplements
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
the reports are all good except for low vit D levels. The Vit B12 in serum is also good. I do not recommend unnecessary medication to my patients. in your case neurobion is of less value.
I suggest to meet oral surgeon for new symptom of jaw stiffness. If anything particularly observed they can restart neurobion.
I do not find anything significant in your health to be worried.
