Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
I regularly come across children of your son's age with normal findings on ultrasound and CT scan with pain in RIF. As you have mentioned, blood tests, urine tests, stool test and upper GI endoscopy are normal. Howevver lower GI endoscopy reveals small nodules at the ileum (small bowel) and hemorrhoids.
Medications given are as follows
1. Enterogermina contains bacillus clausii which is helpful to restore the good bacteria in the intesstines.
2. Cibis to reduce pain in the RIF.
Presently he can be given a combination of medications to prevent acidity and nausea. This can be treated by giving him a combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone (Marketed as PAN D or PANTOSEC D). This has to be taken early morning on fasting or at least 30 minutes before meals up to twice a day.
You may change his diet to healthy soft diet which is home cooked. Also please make him drink adequate fresh juices and water. His meals can be given in small quantities at intervals of 3 - 4 hours. Please avoid large heavy meals.
Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek
