Can Eltroxin-25 Be Taken During The 2nd Trimester Of Pregnancy?

Question: My wife is in 2nd trimester of pregnancy. As per the blood and Urine test , the doctor had advised to take eltroxin 25 once daily.

Is it okay to take it during pregnancy as her tsh levels are already above normal.

please advise.

2. what is the weight of your wife.
3. family history of thyroid disorders?
4. was she on thyroxine replacement earlier?
5. is this the first pregnancy?
6. antibody levels i.e. TPO & TGA antibodies?
please let me know at the earliest so we can start the treatment without delay, as pregnancy is a very precious time for mother and the baby.

weiggt - 52, she has had one miscarriage earlier in 7th month in march-2015.
