Can Excedrin Be Taken For Severe Headache?

Question: My 15yr old nephew has had a headache since Sunday last. Seen by GP yesterday, said to continue with paracetamol and nurofen. pain score is never less than 6/10. Can he take Excedrin migraine. does he need to be over a certain weight before taking same. thank you
