Can Ferrous Sulfite Dosage Be Increased?

Question : I am currently taking 1 each 65mg(325mg) ferrous sulfite pills daily. Is it OK to double this pill daily?

Brief Answer: best not to double dose Detailed Answer: HI, thanks for using healthcare magic The dose normally used is 300mg to 325 mg once a day. It is best up to but not beyond this dose. Increasing the dose beyond this point is associated with increased risk of any side effects. Normally with these medication, the bone marrow starts producing more blood cells within one week though it can take longer for the blood count to increase.
