Detailed Answer:
Hello My Dear Sir

Welcome!
I am Dr V XXXXXXX a Sr Consultant Dermatologist.

I have taken note of your concerns and will answer your query based upon my experience with this drug in my patients. I have been attending Androgenic Alopecia patients for nearly three decades.

Finasteride acts at the level of hormone receptors which means that it has the ability to affect certain functions related to sexual activity. It is a very good and effective treatment for the condition stated above.

Going through the reviews of patients who have been using this medication, and those of physicians prescribing it, I find that the incidence of side effects related to ED is very low and this is my personal observation as well.
For the very few, in fact very rare, if the patient is well informed to be cautious to report any such complaint, the drug has good potential to result in improvement in hair loss without any untoward side effect. Moreover, the problems, if any , that arise due to this medication are totally reversible.

The crux of my knowledge and experience is that one can safely go for this treatment provided there are no other contraindications related to other body systems and one is aware of the potential problems that can be reported to the physician in time.

I will be glad to reply to your other concerns, if any.

Wishing you a great time and good health from our team!
