Yes it can cause palpitation though not very common

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Yes Finasteride can cause palpitation a day the skipping of heart beating .

Per say , It's not very common .
One reason is that it decreases blood pressure slightly and hence the heart reacts to the same by pumping faster . This can cause the feeling fast beating heart .

There are many reports of palpation in post marketing surveillance and hence the company has added the accepted the same in its information sheet for the drug .

For practical reasons , Get an ECG during the episode , if there are extra beats , DON'T take the medication , your body is not suited . If the ECG is normal exactly during the episode , it is more likely subjective and hence you can take it under observation .
