Add Syrup Tylenol too along with Grilinctus.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the consultation at my virtual clinic HCM!
I have carefully worked through your case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I will take care all of your medical concerns today and will put my best efforts to get you out of this situation.
Yes this is good to go with Grilinctus as this is an effective antitussive to relieve the cough and symptoms related to that. But the kid also needs Tylenol for inflammation and the pain associated.
Such infections are mostly Viral and no need for the antibiotics until unless there is sever infection and indication is obvious for the same. This viral infection will be relieved in 7-10 days and you need not worry.
In the morning add honey and a small pinch of black pepper to LukeWarm water and give to the kid. Also ask for brushing the teeth and gargling with Scope or Listerine or any other mouthwash.
Give plenty of drinking water and rest is the key to fast recovery.
Hope I answered all of your questions. Let me know if you have further clinical concerns or doubts. I will be more than happy to get back to you with expert opinion.
