Brief Answer:
You need not to be scared at all as the risk of getting HIV is very remote.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Welcome to HCM.

First of all, the survival of HIV virus outside the human body or in an open environment is very difficult and it will die within hours only.

Second, the route of transmission of HIV by the way you had mentioned is not known at all so you need not to worry as the risk of getting an infection with HIV is very remote. Be relaxed and move ahead in life happily.

Thank You

Brief Answer:
Yes there is risk of transmission of HIV in the scenario described by you.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

First of all, There is risk of HIV transmission if the blood of HIV positive person comes in direct contact with the blood of healthy person through pricks or scratches or cuts or abrasions on the skin.

Second, In your case the scenario is different from this so you need not to worry as the risk is very less. Be relaxed and move ahead.

Hello sir ,
If blood not comes from skin after accidently scratches or abrasion by hiv infected needle or pins. Only scratchy lines occurs on skin.
I mean to say, without bleeding there is chance or not???
doctor
Answered by Dr. Sunil Jangid (22 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Yes there is chance of transmission of HIV through mucous membrane of skin.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Even-though blood not comes from skin after scratches or abrasions there is some possibility of HIV transmission through mucous membrane of skin. But the risk is very less or negligible as mucous membrane secretes mucous which contains some chemicals and antibodies that can kill the germs.

Answered by Dr. Sunil Jangid (4 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Your present symptoms are most probably due to some other viral infection.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

You had cough and cold after 2 days of the incident which is mostly due to some other viral infection not related to HIV as the symptoms of ARS also take at-least one week to develop after an infection occurs so don't worry much.
