Can HIV Be Contracted Through An Open Wound?

Question: Hi Doctor,
How common is it to get infected with hiv from open wounds?
I had a massage a few days ago and wile the massure was massaging my lower back I think she accidently burst a cyst I have above my anus and below my back bone. what are the chances if she also had a bleeding cut and it came in contact with my cyst. Do I have a chance of being infected with HIV and should I get tested after this incident.

Brief Answer:
Risk is negligible
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
The risk for such transmission is negligible even if she had open bleeding wound so you don't Ned to be concerned. For such infection it is required prolonged contact between two bleeding sores and usually deeper wounds should be involved so in your case I don't this there is any risk. Wish you good health. Regards
