Can HIV Be Contracted Through Fellatio?

default
Posted on Tue, 28 Jul 2015
Question: Doctor,

I invited a woman is working in a strip club to my home 3 days back. I was fully drunk. Eventhough i had condoms, i decided not to go for insertive sex. However she gave me a unprotected fellatio and still my penis was not erect as i was drank. Then we kissed each other and she sat on my lap and i noticed that her outer vagina was rubbing over my penis (Did not insert) and yes I fingered her (no wounds or cuts in her vagina and i did not give her a cunnilingus except kissing and licking her inner thighs

However this was my first time with a woman from a strip club and i am very anxious and nervous about contracting a hiv or other std's. I spoke to the woman a couple of times in 2 days after this incident and she just insisted that she did not have any STDs. However I am not convinced and dying out of fear as my spouse would join me soon as she is away from station. I am fraid of contracting any infections to her

Do you recommend with for HIV and other STD tests? Please respond asap

Brief Answer:
Chances of transmission of STDS like HIV unlikely.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.

Welcome to health care magic.I have gone through the details and can make out your anxiety.
The chances of transmission of HIV by fellatio or kissing or fingering is nil , unless there are open wounds in both the partners in the area of contact. As per description there are no wounds so the chances of transmission of HIV is nil.

But some STDs like herpes can be transmiited by skin to skin contact or by kissing. The chances are higher if there were active lseions at the time of contact.it is unlikely with given description.Observe for development of any lesions/symptoms for 2-3 weeks.

You can get all the baseline stds done( including for HIV,HSV 1&2 antibodies,).

You can get back to me for any clarifications.
Thank you

Thanks doctor. As i mentioned, never inserted her and I have no wounds or cuts in my fingers on my penis, except a small cut mark (Skin covered and healed) incurred a few weeks back during sex with my spouse. The skin of the lady with whom i had 3 days back did not have any active lseions as far as I observed all over. Could you please reconfirm the chances? I also have a soar throat from the next day morning and still has it, but do not have cold or fever. Is it a STD symptom?

Brief Answer:
HIV risk nil.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.
There is no possibility of transmission of HIV with the given description. So you can allay fears. The symptoms of sore throat/cold/fever can be due to respiratory contact with the person or any other person. It does not suggest any STDs.
STDs like herpes can be transmitted though the chances are minimal as she does not have any active lesions.
You can get back for any clarifications.
