Can HIV Be Contracted Through Infected Needle?

Question: hi I made contact with something I think from the beach it made contact but no bleeding I hope its not a needle the trash spilled over so I wiped it upside down to the dumpster hiv test???? please like i put the trash upside down dont knoww if there was anything dangerous this was a public beach not my work area what do you think hiv test??? ever since this its been hurting me somewhat

Hiv is not possible option since it can't live outside the body and it would not be present in active form in needle. hepatitis may be easier transmitted but also this risk is very low,even if this was a contaminated needle. So I don't see reasons to test.it may become infected by bacteria so antibiotics may be required if you notice redness and fever.regards

So the bottom line is antibiotics and fever persist if i notice it?? so your saying no testing!!!!!!! you saw my photo what do you say.So no concerns you saying about this.since this been getting pins and needles on the finger tips thats where the contact occurred.since this pins and needles no febver well the trash fell on the ground but I made sure there was nothing so i took photos of it can i sent you some So i know theres nothing dangerous on groundsi get tickling on my finger tips? Should I really take action and I feel like cold sensation through my arms.if i have tinklingg on my finger tips does that necessary mean i came in contact with something like an item but no empty least thats that i think.

Yes, you can send photos.
As I can see on this photo,there is no sign of bacterial infection, but it may develop within 2 days after incident,so if redness, pus, or fever occur, you ll need antibiotics.
I also, cant know what was it,so I cant tell you what is the exact risk of infection. Viruses can be transmitted only if this item was covered with blood of another infected person. But bacterial infections may develop even without it. SO it would be good to have prophylactic antibiotics for 3 days and have anti-tetanus shot if you wasnt vaccinated in last 10 years. You should not worry since the risk for HIV is extremely small, even if this was needle used by infected person.
Personally, I would not test.
But to ease your minds, you can do test 2 weeks after incident.
But as I said,risk for HIV and hepatitis are almost negligible.

i trust you but when i got contacted with an item how come I dont feel well somewhat after the incident but no cuts right on hands no entries right is it all in my brain when i think about it thanks

all i know it was a small brown piece i believe it was not metal but it was all out like a small twig not sure if i made contact but i threw it away

ok Im not think ing about this incident I was in the ne of hotels and I hurt in the restroom I believe I was flushing not certain I hope there wasn't anything danfgerous in the restroom should I go recheck the hotel is next to myy appartment what do you think???? I took a photo of my6 thumb and back siide of it too hiv test?? dont know

I also think you are too anxious, but of course, I understand your concerns. However, there is no any reason to be worried since infection risk is negligible and this is not the way to get HIV. Deep cuts and direct contact with infected blood is required for something like this.

the restroom in the hotel that i was saying regarding my thumb or the incident with the trash area thanks

do you think they are needles in the r5esteeom like the W hotel the hotel is very nice and presentable dont know

I am referring to both incidents. Used needles are very rarely seen in hotel restrooms and this would be unusual to find it there. Even if this was a needle, the transmission risk would still be minimal. I really don't see reason for concerns.
