Brief Answer:
You will need an Antibody tests 90 days after the day of unprotected sex
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your health query.
With the 2 tests you have done you have ruled out 95% of possibility of having HIV infection.
In order to say that you have had not HIV in 99,9% of the cases, you need to do the Antibody tests when you will be 90 days after the exposure you are mentioning above.
Hope this is helpful.

I had protected sex! The lab said Rna is 99% and 4th generation is 99% together I need no further test is that not true?
Brief Answer:
since you are very low risk, then you don't need the test
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for the follow-up question.
I'm sorry I misread by reading it as it was unprotected sex.
The HIV virus is a very delicate one that gets destroyed very easy in contact with environment. That is why the possibility of transmitting it with one single contact is very, very low.
The protocols of tasting for HIV are the ones that I mentioned above. So in order to rule out the possibility of having the virus a person should do the 2 tests you have done and also the third test I mentioned which should be done after 3 months.
Since in your case you have had just 1 single contact and that was protected, then the possibility of having the virus is almost impossible, thats why the lab has said you need no further testing.
Regards, and take care
