Can HIV Be Contracted Through Oral Sex And Non-penetrative Sexual Activity?

default
Posted on Thu, 28 May 2015
Question: I had frottage with another man with penis to penis contact but no ejaculation. We also had a very brief encounter of oral sex with no ejaculation. The oral sex was no more than 2 minutes as I was scared of this type of activity and what I may get.
I am so worried about an STD. It was almost two weeks ago and no symptoms of anything, but I have read that is very early. Are there any STD's that I may have contracted during this encounter and shold I be tested for anything in particular?
Thank you so much.

Brief Answer:
As of now, NO!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this encounter and all the disturbing thoughts this has caused you. I have reviewed your information fully and there is no reason to be too scared at this time. The events carried minimal risk of STD transmission and absence of symptoms means that you are probably doing great.

Unless something else comes up, there is no reason to get scared and seek further medical attention at this time. However, protection during all sexual intercourses is very very important to make sure you stay way from contracting HIV and other STDs.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
