Can HIV Be Transmitted Through An Injury After Accidentally Scraping A Chair?

There is almost no chance of HIV and HepB and C in such scenario.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to HealthcareMagic,
I am Dr , Muhammad Ahmad , I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem.
Usually there can be Tetanus or risk of infection in such cases, but these chairs do not transmit HIV or Hep B and C until there is fresh bleeding or secretions of an infection person on the chair leg which is very very rare incidence, even if infected bleed or secretions are there on the chair , it is very very rare to get the infection with just a hit.
So, in my opinion there is very very rare chance that you can get an infection by hitting a chair , even if it was lying on the subway platform. Even if this chair was in a hospital where there are patients around still there would have been very minor chances of such an incidence.
I would suggest you not to panic and don't be anxious about this. Every thing should be fine.
I hope this answered your question, If you have more queries I am happy to answer you.
Regards.
Dr.Muhammad Ahmad
