Can HIV Be Transmitted Through Non-penetrative Sex?

Question: Dear Doctor
About 33 days ago I visited a massage parlour in which I received a nude massage, the girl spit on her hands twice and gave me a handjob. I am worried of the possibility of contracting hsv2 from her saliva.
I am a 31 year old circumcised male with the history of cold sores on my lips (hsv1). I had a lot of anxiety ever since and lost about 5 kilograms of weight. I had pains around my genital area which I am not sure if they are from anxiety or not.
at day 9 I had full blood test which came back negative for everything including hsv2. but I know that it was too soon for antibodies to develop.
after about two weeks, I noticed two really really small bumps/pimples on my penis. I showed them the Doctor and he replied that these are by no way herpes and they are white heads or oil glands. they were underneath the skin and only visible when I stretch the skin.
Now about 16 days (more than 2 weeks) had passed and those had gone bigger in size but not opened or broke or developing other signs. right now the bigger one is 1mm by 2mm. it is still under the skin, it is visible from the surface and kind of bubble out when I stretch the skin. it seems that inside there is fat and not water as the pictures of herpes online. The family doctor again yesterday said to me that he still does not think those are herpes.
as far as so many pictures of herpes that I saw online, they do not look like any of them. They are not red, nor themselves, neither their base, and not painful when pressed or touched. although I am quite sensitive and aware of that part of my body all day long.
Can they be herpes still or my doctor diagnosis of oil glands is true? please help

Brief Answer:
These are epidermoid cysts and not herpes infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I am Dr Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, a dermatologist.
I have gone through your entire history and also reviewed all the attached photographs.
These are not at all herpes infection.
As rightly said by your doctor these are epidermoid cysts which are swelling of oil glands and are harmless.
The pain and discomfort is probably because of anxiety as these epidermoid cysts are usually asymptomatic growths.
Regards
Dr Asmeet

Thanks Dr. XXXXXXX for your clear and helpful response. greatly appreciate it.
As for the timing of their appearance, do you think that is just random that they coincide with this incident ? or there could be any significant reason?
I have lost some of weight (5kg, 6%), could that perhaps increase the resolved fat in my blood and had caused this ? As well I examined the area by stretching it more than 10 times a day.

Brief Answer:
Occurence is coincidental & not related to sexual contact or weight loss
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
As far as their occurrence is concerned, it is purely coincidental and not related to the sexual contact.
It is also not related to your weight loss.
May be because of your anxiety you have examined this area very closely and discovered these cysts now which might have gone unnoticed earlier.

Dear Dr. Kuar,
Please note that I noticed the existence of these two weeks ago and from since I have been observing them that they certainly grew in size. They were very small then to a point that they were missed all together in my Doctors exam, I found them by myself. but now they are quite visible.
Would this increase the chance of herpes ?
In general, can this phase herpes lesions before opening up extend this long ?
I was looking at them this morning in natural light and I felt it could be cloudy water inside rather than fat... it is kinda depends on the lighting in which you look at them
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Epidermoid cysts can occur at any time, these are not related to herpes
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Sorry for the delayed response.
This is the natural course of these cysts. They start as very small lesions and slowly enlarge. They can even enlarge some more but never turn into herpetic lesions. They can start at any time in the life of the individual.
Herpes always starts as some tiny fluid filled blisters which rupture in 1-3 days leaving behind painful superficial ulcers.
These lesions are not at all related to herpes, so no time constraint is required to be sure that this is herpes as herpesvirus will never have this kind of presentation from the very beginning.
