Can HIV Infection Be Contracted Through A Gauge Subcutaneous Injection Needle
Question: I have taken 2 elisa hiv tests along with oraquick all between 3-6 months after my needlestick exposure with a small Guage subcutaneous needle. I test negative each time. My doubt comes from them being FDA approved tests sold at drugstores. I know I should trust them. Would you say I can definitely move on? I had no other exposures. Thank you helping me move on.
Brief Answer:
Yes you can definitely move on in life without thinking of other exposure.
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
Welcome to HCM.
You had needle stick injury and you had done two ELISA along with one ora-quick between 3-6 months post exposure than you are completely safe and can move ahead in life without thinking much of other exposures.
You can also trust the medical stores from where you got the test kits so no need to worry so much about that.
Thank You
