Can Hep B Vaccine Produce Infection By Contact And Can Milk Come Out Through Ear After Feeding?

Question: Hi Doctor,

I have two small queries.

1. My baby ( One month old girl ) was administered Revac B+ ( Recombinant ) Hepatitis B vaccine from XXXXXXX Biotech.

Is it possible to get infection, if somebody physically contacts this vaccine from the bottle in which it was contained.

If yes, underwhich circumstances this can be infectious.

Also,

2. A week back after feeding , we observed some milk in her ear lobe. Did not happened again till yet, touch wood.
Is this possible that milk can come out of ears after feeding. If yes, what should be our course of action to ascertain that every thing is fine.

Your 1st question.

Hep b vaccine is a recombinant vaccine and can not produce infection by contact.

Your 2 nd question,

Milk can not come out through ear in a normal child.

There is a connection between throat and middle ear,but middle ear to outer ear is barricaded by ear drum.
Only if there is perforation of the drum, even middle ear discharges can come out.
The does not happen in the small newborn baby.

You must have seen the milk which was spilt or that which baby threw up!
