Can I Take Cymbalta With Zyprexa?

Question: Can I take 30mg cymbalta with 1.5 zyprexa?
Brief Answer:
Yes, it can be done
Detailed Answer:
hello
Sudden stopping of zyprexa can give rise to such problems espically at your age.
It will be better if you take zyprexa 1.25 mg ( not 2.5 mg which you were taking previously), for few days and then shift to 2.5 mg. The need for xanax will reduce and the attacks will be controlled.
Symbalta is given for the same purpose but it is a light molecule compared to zyprexa- that is why you are having such complaints. Taking the two together does not pose any harm usually.
hope the reply is useful for you
Please ask.more questions for calrification.
Wish you good health!

Hi haven't had any Zyprexa since March 10
Today the doctor took me off of the hydrocodone which
Today he took me off his Zoloft and he said I could not be addicted to 1 mg of Zan X and a 10 325 hydrocodone taking it just ever a few days do you agree with that
Brief Answer:
you need better medicine currently
Detailed Answer:
hello
First, the problem is not addiction at present but the increasing need of xanax which is not helping sufficiently. So, dosage has to be raised and it is not good .
Secondly, zyprexa can.be started again after a gap of some time - without any problem.
Thirdly, looking at your symptoms i feel that you need some better anti anxiety than symbalta.Like paroxetine or venalafaxine.
For anxiety attacks you may take etizolam inspite of xanax in dose of 0.5mg when needed.
Please do not worry about addiction to xanax, you will not get it. Becuase first-- you are cautious yourself and second, beacuse you are having it due to some problem and not for recreational use.
Hope this helps your doubts
please feel free to ask further questions if there are any more doubts, i will be pleased to answer them

Brief Answer:
symbalta and zoloft can b said similar
Detailed Answer:
Hello
It is ok to start zyprexa again now, no issues regarding that.
Secondly, you mentioned zoloft (in between after the main question) but i dont know when you took it ? and for how long and what dosage?
Thirdly, Symbalta and zoloft are somewhat similar. Zyprexa sereves a different purpose.
Please ask if there is anymore query.

I took 12.5 Zoloft for the last several months. I cut the 25 in half. Tonight will be my first night with no Zoloft. The Dr, today told me to take the cymbalta in the morning time. I have been on the Zoloft for a few years. Is there one med you would recommend over the zyprexa due to weight gain?
Thank you so much for dealing with me.
Brief Answer:
its ok to stop it, have trust
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Taking just 12.5mg zoloft was not helping you in anyway but was just a placebo. So, dont worry about stoping it- symbalta can take up its role nicely.
Now we come to zyprexa- it can.be changed to resperidone or quiteapine, both have some weight gaining potential but less than zyprexa.
The most important thing is to be aware of what you eat. See that what and how much you eat. Drugs only increase appetite, weight is increased by our food. So, being smart in eating will help you save a few pounds of weight!.
Eat more salad and fruits and go for some walk to stay fit.
Hope this helps you
