Can Ibuprofen Be Taken For A Long Duration?

Question: I am a retired nurse, 80 years old, and in good health. I have arthritis and have been taking Ibuprofen for the last 23 years without any problems. I have changed doctors and she will not refill it. My surgeons for total knee and a new ankle have never had a problem with this. I have never had a problem related to this drug either. Please give your opinion. I have Medica insurance and this drug is not expensive. The other NSAD

Brief Answer:
NSAIDS
Detailed Answer:
Good evening
Well, Considering your age I would not recommend you to continue with Ibuprofen at this stage. I must say you have been lucky so far or else it can damage the kidneys in long run.
As for the medication, I would recommend you switch to tyelnol. It is a much safer drug and even if you take it twice or thrice it wont damage kidneys or liver.
Try not taking NSAIDS. If it damages the kidneys, you wont wanna go on dialysis at this stage.
