Can Keflex Cause Light Vaginal Bleeding?
Question: Can Keflex cause light vaginal bleeding? I finished taking it recently and have had pink (bloody) discharge for the past 5 days.
Brief Answer:
Not related
Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
There is nothing to worry about it as keflex just has antibiotic and is not related with light vaginal bleeding.
It could be your period or in case you are sexually active then it can be related to pregnancy.
But if it all it persists then visit a gynecologist for examination.
Take care

A number of people have reported vaginal symptoms from Keflex online. I have a history of recurrent bacterial vaginosis; this is nothing like that. Could taking too many antibiotics kill all the good bacteria in my vagina and cause these symptoms? What about STIs? I had my period 2 weeks ago.
Brief Answer:
STDs unlikely
Detailed Answer:
Yes definitely it can interfere with vaginal normal flora but it is uncommon in young females and is always associated with foul smelling vaginal discharge and perineal itching.
Since you don't have above symptoms and your period was 2 weeks back, the most likely cause is mid cycle spotting.
But still local erosion of the cervical lips cannot be ruled out on the basis of history alone so a gynecological per speculum examination is a must.
Sexually transmitted diseases are associated with many symptoms and it is unusual for them to present like this.
Get yourself examined by a gynecologist and let her evaluate you.
