Question: hello ive been taking levosulpride for a total of 6 months now along with ranitidine for acid reflux and digestive problems. is it possible to stop levosulpride cold turkey or could there be withdrawl symptoms

NO, it cannot be suddenly stopped.

Levosulpride is a prokinetic agent (helps speed up movement of food through the bowel) and antipsychotic.

Gradual reduction of the dose is recommended to decrease the risk of withdrawal symptoms such as sweating, nausea, vomiting.
Most medications are withdrawn over a prolonged period of time (2 to 4 weeks) but it is best if this is done along with your doctor so he or she can be informed about the change.
