Can Mefloquine Toxicity Cause Brain Damage?

Question: In the past year I have noticed that when I climb stairs, usually multiple flights that I will begin to loose track or miss steps. Just turned 48...

I am a vet and worked in Iraq and Afghanistan as a contractor and took malaria medication for a time. Attached is a link to a recent military times article which makes me curious.
