Can Mometasone Furoate Cream Be Used On Genital Welts?

Question: Can mometasone furore cream USP be used on labia welts most likely caused by an allergic reaction to a change in laundry detergent or would Vagisil be best.

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Mometasone is steroid ointment and has side effects like fungal infection on prolonged usage. If the itching and rashes are not very severe, then you can take oral antiallergics like cetrizine or allegra ( fexofenadine). If it is not relieved by the drugs, then you can apply mometasone ointment twice a day for maximum seven days.
Vagisil cream is not recommended for itching.

My thanks for your response. Question: You said "Mometasone...has side effect like fungal infection on prolonged usage". However, if I use it for a "maximum seven days", I most likely will not be trading one problem for another?
